This policy explains how Walsh London Ltd ("WLL", "we", "us", "our"), company number 16949730, registered in England and Wales, handles personal data collected via this website (walsh.london) in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Data We Collect
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name, and any information you include in your message.
When you visit the site, we collect standard analytics data — including page views, browser type, device type, and approximate location — via Google Analytics. This data is processed in aggregate form and is subject to your cookie consent (see Section 5).
If you arrive from a Google Ads advert, we also record the Google click identifier (gclid) linked to your visit so we can measure which adverts lead to enquiries.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your contact details solely to respond to your enquiry and, where you have given consent, to send relevant updates about our services. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Analytics data is used solely to understand how visitors use this website and to improve its content and performance.
3. Legal Basis
Processing your contact form submission is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR), or based on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
Processing analytics data is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), given via the cookie banner on your first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time — see Section 5.
4. Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party services that may process your data on our behalf:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — website analytics. Google processes usage data on our behalf and may transfer it to servers in the United States. This transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads (Google LLC) — advertising conversion measurement. When you submit the contact form we send Google a record that a conversion occurred, together with the Google click identifier (gclid) where available. To improve measurement accuracy ("Enhanced Conversions"), a securely hashed, irreversible version of your email address may also be sent to Google to match your enquiry to an advert interaction — Google cannot recover your email from this hash. - FormSubmit.co — contact form delivery. When you submit the contact form, your submission is processed by FormSubmit and forwarded to our email address. FormSubmit acts as a data processor on our behalf.
5. Cookies
This website uses a cookie consent banner on your first visit. Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement are active by default, and you can opt out at any time by clicking "Decline" on the banner. If you decline, analytics and advertising measurement are switched off (via Google Consent Mode) and only a single functional cookie is kept to remember your preference.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site, which will re-display the consent banner.
We use Google Ads cookies solely to measure the performance of our own adverts. We do not sell your data or use third-party profiling unrelated to measuring our own advertising.
6. Data Retention
We retain contact form enquiry data for up to three years from the date of your last contact with us, after which it is securely deleted unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics data is retained in accordance with Google's standard retention settings (26 months by default).
7. International Data Transfers
Google Analytics transfers data to the United States. This transfer is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses as recognised under UK GDPR and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA). We do not otherwise transfer your personal data outside the UK.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected
- Erasure — request deletion of your data in certain circumstances
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing
